Two European companies, Atmos Space Cargo and Space Cargo Unlimited, are collaborating to conduct microgravity research missions to low Earth orbit, independent of the ISS. Their BentoBox system will support over 100 kg of payloads, with the first mission set for late 2025, following a test flight in April. The initiative aims to overcome challenges associated with human involvement in space research, offering a scalable solution for production and research.
